Introduction

WiHART Systems has introduced a 433 MHz radio module for OEMs.  This module can be used by an OEM to design and develop a DASH7 product.  It utilizes the TI CC1101 radio and can use a variety of antennas. The radio can be used in conjunction with a microprocessor using OpenTag software which implements the DASH7 standard for active RFIDs.

The OEM radio does not include any software drivers for a particular microprocessor.  The module uses the TI CC1101 and sample I/O drivers are available.  The  radio is available in sample quantities now.  Contact factory.

The radio module It has the following chacteristics:

Multichannnel transceiver at 433 MHz

Output greater then +20 dbm (external power amplifier)

Supports FSK, GFSK, ASK/OOK ,MSK modulation

Configurable data rates 1.2k to 500 kps

Separate 64 byte RX and TX  data FIFOs

Wake-On-Radio function

Digital RSSI output

Programmable carrier sense indicator

Optional Forward Error Correction

Support automatic Clear Channel Assessment

SPI serial interface for communication

1.8 - 3.6 volt supply

24 mm X 15.mm X 2.4 mm (see photo above)
